A driver accused of shooting two brothers in a road rage incident near Sparta will not face charges, the Kent County Prosecutor’s Office had ruled.
Prosecutors said it was impossible to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Robert Chipman Jr. of Newaygo did not shoot Don and Benjamin Dudley in self-defense.
Chipman admitted to pulling the trigger. He claimed self-defense and was released after being questioned by police.
