UPDATE: SAUGATUCK, Mich. (WOOD) — Rescue crews have pulled a person out of Kalamazoo Lake in Saugatuck after authorities say the victim fell off an overturned sailboat.
It happened around noon Thursday near the Sergeant Marina, located at 31 Butler Street in Saugatuck, according to the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office.
Dispatchers confirmed around 1 p.m. that the person was out of the water.
It’s unclear what caused the sailboat to overturn or how long the person has been in water before it was reported to authorities
