MCC high school: some kind of irritant leakage caused evacuation

MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) — Emergency crews are responding to a hazmat situation at Muskegon Catholic Central High School, the Muskegon Fire Department has confirmed.

Muskegon Public Safety Director Jeffrey Lewis said police were called to the school Tuesday morning for an unknown smell. It’s unclear if anyone was sickened.

According to Marvis Herring (WOOD TV 8) - MCC high school says some kind of irritant leakage caused evacuation.

24 Hour News 8 arrived to see first-responders putting on hazmat suits before entering the school, located at 1145 W. Laketon Ave. Some students were also being picked up by their parents.
