Judge clears veteran’s dogs in killing of goats, cat

From our partners at WOOD TV:

After months on ‘death row,’ an Ionia County judge has exonerated a veteran’s dogs accused of killing three goats and a cat last summer.

The two dogs will be released Tuesday morning, Ionia County District Court Judge Raymond Voet ordered late Monday night. The judge decided there wasn’t enough evidence to prove that the dogs killed the other animals in July 2016.

The two dogs, pit bull mixed-breeds named Mario and Luigi, belong to Allen Hustin, a U.S. Army veteran who lives in North Carolina.
