A Kent County judge is denying a former psychologist's request to be taken off of the sex offender registry early. In 2006, Robert Eardley was convicted of sexually assaulting two of his patients. He was sentenced to six months in jail and ordered to register as a sex offender until August 2021. The judge hearing Eardley's request called the case "one of the most egregious situations of rape I've ever seen in my 11 years on the bench" and said it is surprising Eardley is even out of prison.
