Dreaded Construction Project Delayed

Motorists dreading the construction planned for the Medical Mile have been given a reprieve by Mother Nature. Work on the $1.7 million project was supposed to start today...but because of bad weather being predicted...work won't begin until Saturday at the earliest. The project involves replacing the pavement up Michigan Street hill, plus removing the so-called "slip lane" that right now allows drivers northbound on Iona to bypass Michigan Street and go south on Ottawa. At least one travel lane will be available during the work.
