According to MLive, WOOD TV8 has struck a three-year deal with the Grand Rapids Art Museum that will allow the station to move into downtown for daily newscasts.
TV8 has previously used the space for live broadcasts during ArtPrize. Now, TV8 will be producing at least one daily broadcast from the GRAM during the week.
The GRAM sees the move as a way to further "placemaking" efforts downtown and to draw people to Rosa Parks Circle. WOOD TV8 plans to begin its GRAM broadcasting April 26 with its noon hour show.
