Children affected by CO at Niles hotel out of hospital

NILES, Mich. (AP) — Five children who were exposed to a carbon monoxide leak in a Niles hotel pool area were released from a South Bend, Ind. hospital on Sunday, WNDU-TV reports.

Earlier in the day, South Bend Memorial Hospital spokeswoman Heidi Prescott said the five who initially were reported in fair or serious condition following the incident Saturday at the Quality Inn & Suites in Niles were in good condition. She said a police officer and three other children had already been released.
