Divers recover body from Grand River in Grand Rapids

The Kent County dive team helped pull a male body from the Grand River Friday.

Authorities responded to the 1500 block of Scribner Avenue NW around 1:49 p.m. Friday after receiving a report about a body in the river. The Kent County Sheriff’s Office’s dive team was called in shortly thereafter.

24 Hour News 8 was there as authorities recovered the body. The Grand Rapids Police Department is awaiting autopsy results to determine who the victim is and how they died.
