Elderly woman struck by drive-by shooting, reports GRPD

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids police are investigating a drive-by shooting after an elderly woman was struck inside her house.

It happened around 9 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of Dickinson Street SW, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department.

Police say more than a dozen shots were fired at one house, one of bullets went through a window and struck an elderly woman. She suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities are investigating a large scene to determine which direction the suspect fled the scene.
