Andrew Puzder withdraws nomination for Labor Department

The day before his confirmation hearing with a Senate committee, Andrew Puzder ended his prospects to become Labor Secretary. Sources tell FOX News the decision came after about a dozen Republicans express reservations or concerns, coupled with expected unanimous opposition from Democrats:

Washington state Democrat Patty Murray is critical of the fast-food chain CEO’s reported treatment of women.

Republican concerns centered largely on the acknowledgement Puzder had not paid taxes on a housekeeper who was not authorized to work in the U.S.
