An estimated 8,090 individual federal tax returns from Michigan reported an adjusted gross income of at least $1 million in 2014, according to data from the Internal Revenue Service
That's up 63 percent from the 4,949 returns with at least $1 million in adjusted gross income in 2010.
The average income for the 2014 millionaires was $2.9 million
About 48 percent of the return were from single filers, 38 percent were from joint filers and 12 percent were from taxpayers who filed as "head of household."
