The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services announced another single day case record with 8,516 cases.
The state also recorded 118 deaths, 83 of which where found during a review of death certificates.
Michigan has had 244,578 confirmed cases and 7,929 deaths since March.
The labs tested at a 13.36 percent positivity rate on Thursday.
