Governor Signs Clean Slate Legislation

DETROIT, Mich. - On Monday, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed legislation to make it easier for Michigan residents to clean their personal records.

The bill allows people who have stayed out of legal trouble for seven years after their most recent misdemeanor, and 10 years for a felony, to have their records cleared.
