Thousands Without Electricity After Overnight Storm

GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Thousands of Consumers Energy customers are without power after stormy weather overnight.

An official with the utility told WOOD-TV that most of the outages should be fixed by midnight Thursday.

Much of the western half of the state was under a severe thunderstorm watch overnight. A warning was issued for Kent, Ionia, Montcalm and Newaygo counties.
