Griffins go purple Friday to support VAI's work

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Griffins will be ditching their traditional jerseys Friday to support a good cause in Grand Rapids.

The Griffins will wear purple jerseys during Friday’s game against the Iowa Wild as part of the eighth annual Purple Community Night. The jerseys will be auctioned off to fans after the game.

All money raised during the event will go toward cancer, Parkinson’s and other research done byVan Andel Institute.
