Lee HS student robbed at gunpoint while walking to school

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Police in Wyoming are investigating after a student was robbed at gunpoint while walking to school Tuesday morning.

A Lee High School student was robbed shortly before 7:30 a.m. near the intersection of Martindale Avenue and Lee Street, according to a joint news release from the Wyoming Department of Public Safety and Godfrey-Lee Public Schools.

The suspect is described as a white man in his early 20s. He was last seen armed with a handgun and running south on Martindale Avenue towards Burton Street.
