Man gets prison for 2017 murder in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A  Grand Rapids man will spend decades in prison for shooting and killing another man on the city’s southwest side.

A judge Thursday sentenced Derin Stephens-Roy to 35 to 100 years in prison for second-degree murder in the April 2017 death of Barry Roger Cooper.
