Annual Bridge Run benefits local charities

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Thousands of runners took to the streets of Grand Rapids Sunday morning for the 17th annual Bridge Run.

The crowd filed Rosa Parks Circle for check-ins before the event's 8 a.m. start time. Runners and walkers could choose between 5K or 10-mile course options.

"The turnout's been great. We've grown for the last eight years straight. This is our 17th year doing this and we love just seeing the circle filled, we love seeing people in the streets, and love highlighting our city," Race Director Kyle Cutler said.
