The campaign manager for Democratic candidate for governor Shri Thanedar could be facing charges for allegedly interfering with a police investigation.
The arrest Sunday of Pastor David Bullock outside his church, Greater St. Matthew Baptist Church in Highland Park, was not campaign-related, but Thanedar is calling for a thorough investigation of the arresting officers.
Police say Bullock began yelling at officers and demanding to know what they were doing as they were talking to a woman who was allegedly breaking car windows.
Bullock was arrested, ticketed, and released when he refused police orders to go back inside the church.
