Motion for competency exam for murder suspect

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — An attorney has requested a competency examination for the man accused of killing a Grand Rapids teenager who he also allegedly raped.

Quinn James, who's charged with first-degree murder in the death of 16-year-old Mujey Dumbuya, is expected in court Friday for a preliminary hearing. If the judge grants his attorney's competency exam motion, the hearing could be delayed.
