ROCKFORD, Mich. (WOOD) — High levels of PFAS have been found in foam on the Rogue River in Kent County.
The Kent County Health Department says the foam is safe to touch, but swallowing it could pose a health risk due to the levels of PFAS in it.
A sample of foam from the river was taken from just below the Rockford Dam in April as part of the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality’s investigation.
More information can be found on the Health Department’s website.
