It happened around 4:15 a.m. near Reum Road in Milton Township, according to the Cass County Sheriff's Office. Authorities say the driver, 43-year-old Tory Miller of South Bend, was going north in the southbound lanes.

The driver of a box truck swerved to try to avoid a crash, but was hit by Miller's vehicle anyway. The box truck went into the median and then the northbound lanes, at which point it rolled. The driver, a 23-year-old Kalamazoo woman, was wearing her seat belt and wasn't hurt.
