Cedar Springs superintendent resigns

CEDAR SPRINGS, Mich. (WOOD) — Facing opposition from teachers and community members, the superintendent of Cedar Springs Public Schools is resigning.

After spending more than an hour in closed session at its Monday night meeting, the school board accepted Superintendent Laura VanDuyn's resignation effective Friday.

Many members of the community in attendance started cheering loudly when the board at the announcement.
