GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Sections of several streets on the east side of Grand Rapids are closing this week due to construction.
Eastbound Wealthy Street from Jefferson Avenue to Cherry Street will be closed Wednesday through Friday. Both directions of Lafayatte Avenue are closed from Logan Street to Wealthy Street for the same period.
The closures are caused by necessary underground utility work near the roundabout on Lafayette Avenue.
A city release recommended the following detours:
- Eastbound Wealthy – Jefferson Avenue to Cherry Street to Lafayette Avenue
- Northbound Lafayette – Logan Street to Jefferson Avenue to Cherry Street
- Southbound Lafayette – Wealthy Street to Jefferson Avenue to Logan Street
