Inaugural 2017 Downtown Parking Study Released

Colliers International | West Michigan released today its inaugural 2017 downtown parking study. The report comes at a time when the downtown parking crunch continues.

Working with Downtown Grand Rapids, Inc. and Mobile GR, the report contains interesting downtown parking data and Colliers anticipates that business owners and community members will find this information valuable as they make parking-related decisions down the road.

"One of the issues our clients continue to face downtown is the availability and cost of employee parking,” David Wiener, office advisor for Colliers International | West Michigan. "At Colliers, our team not only helps clients understand the current parking landscape, but assists in navigating options and negotiating solutions to this issue. As our downtown continues to evolve, we make it our job to stay in-tune with how parking affects business decisions."

The report includes a parking map with lot types, rates and locations of public and private parking, as well as case studies on new developments in the downtown area and various parking solutions. The report also highlights several options for workers, students and visitors looking to conveniently park and move in, around and out of downtown.
