Grand Action 2.0 begins public phase of Acrisure Amphitheater campaign

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Grand Action 2.0 is launching the public phase of the Next Wave Campaign for the Acrisure Amphitheater. The campaign is a community-wide fundraising effort to support construction of the 12,000 seat, state of the art venue. The amphitheater is set to open in May 2026

This phase of the fundraising invites individuals, businesses and community groups in the ware to contribute to bring the transformative project to the finish line. The group says donations of any amount are welcome and will ensure the venue is a vibrant, inclusive space for all.

"This is more than a concert venue, its a generational investment in the cultural and economic future of Grand Rapids," said Tripp Frey, co-chair of the Next Wave Campaign. "We're calling on everyone who cares about music, arts, community and our city's future to help make it happen."

The publicly owned venue will be operated by the Grand Rapids- Kent County Convention/Arena Authority. The venue will host music concerts as well as a wide range of arts and cultural performances and community events. The project has a total price tag of $184 million.

"This is your venue, your city, your moment," said Todd Custer, fellow campaign co-chair. "Whether you can give $10 or $10,000, you can be part of the next wave of cultural energy and civic pride in Grand Rapids."
