MUSKEGON, Mich. -- A single-vehicle crash has claimed the life of a 72-year-old man in Muskegon.
City police say his car went off South Getty Street near Keating Avenue around 6 a.m.
It hit a tree and burst into flames. Some bystanders pulled him out of the vehicle, and then first responders arrived and tried to revive the unconscious man. But he was later pronounced dead. An investigation is underway as to why his vehicle went off the road.
As of the time of this report late Monday morning, the man's name and hometown not been released yet.
