Local libraries are urging families to fight summer learning loss with free programs.
The Kent District Library says students can lose up to 20 percent of their school-year learning during summer break.
KDL is offering its free Summer Wonder program to help students and families while school is out this summer.
Activities include reading challenges, outdoor exploration, STEAM-based projects and more.
Parents can register online or at any branch.
