The Mid-Michigan District Health Department is confirming a Montcalm County resident has measles.
The resident recently traveled out of state and is working with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services to determine points of exposure.
Michigan's first case of the year was confirmed in March in Oakland County. A resident in Kent County has a confirmed case as well.
The health department urges residents to get vaccinated as the best way to protect against measles.
