Walker's KDL branch are preparing to close for a year beginning next Saturday in order to conduct a major revamp of its building.
The $25 million City of Walker project will revamp the current space into a large community space that will be able to host larger events and offer more small study rooms. An additional 17,000 square foot two-story facility will go up next door to allow for further library expansions, such as a room for podcasting and e-sports.
The temporary location located in Standale Plaza off of Lake Michigan Drive is scheduled to open on Feb. 3.
