MI Supreme Court will not hear appeal on Kent Co. voter data fraud case

The Michigan Supreme Court will not hear an appeal to a case against a Kent County election worker who was accused of taking voter information in the August 2022 election.

The court ruled on Friday that they are not persuaded the question should be reviewed by their court.

Kent County Prosecutor Chris Becker filed charges in September 2022 against James Holkeboer.

Becker alleged Holkeboer falsified election records when he inserted a personal USB drive into a poll book at a Gaines Township precinct and copied voter data.

The Michigan Court of Appeals threw the case out in April ruling Holkeboer's actions did not violate the law.
