Grand Rapids Public Schools is holding a community information session to share upcoming renovations at Briggs Field and Houseman Field.
The session will be held at GRPS University on Wednesday, October 16 at 6 p.m.
GRPS Director of Communications Luke Stier says, "We invite our entire community to Reimagine GRPS with us. This event offers an opportunity to share updates on our upcoming projects and to listen to your valuable feedback."
The renovations are scheduled to occur during the summer of 2025.
Houseman Field will receive expanded parking, upgrades to locker rooms, knew LED lighting, a new turf and a new track.
Briggs Field will receive fence and masonry updates, a new track, bleacher upgrades, additional bathrooms and field reseeding.
The renovations will be paid for using fund from the Reimagine GRPS bond that was approved by voters in 2023.
