A man has pleaded guilty to murdering his girlfriend and leaving her body on the side of US-131 in March.
Brandon Ortiz-Vite pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, carjacking, carrying a concealed weapon and using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
He was arrested on March 24 after he called police to turn himself in for murdering 25-year-old Ruby Garcia on March 22.
He faces 30 to 37 years in prison.
Officials say Ortiz-Vite is not in the United States legally.
