A school safety radio network is now fully operational in Kent County.
The network connects every K-12 school in the county with the Kent County Dispatch Authority.
The system allows for two-way communication with staff and police for emergency situations or for urgent notifications, inclement weather threats or bus route changes.
The network was funded by the American Rescue Plan Act.
