Harbor Humane Society is looking for families looking to foster pets.
Animal shelters across West Michigan have been challenged with fewer adoptions and overcrowding.
Harbor Humane Society executive director Jen Self-Aulgur says the shelter isn't a place pets are supposed to be long-term so any chance at a day trip or foster home is a win.
The shelter is also taking part in the Clear the Shelters campaign.
Discounted adoptions can take place through August 31.
