Charges have been filed against 34-year-old Janai Battles, after she allegedly shot a man multiple times, landing him in the hospital where he remains in critical condition.
It all happened on Friday afternoon. Shots were fired near 7th Street NW and Broadway Avenue NW. According to the GRPD, a man arrived at the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. The man's name has not been released but he is alive and remains at the hospital where he arrived in critical condition as of Wednesday afternoon.
Battles now faces charges of Assault with Intent to Murder, Felony Firearm and Carrying a Concealed Weapon in the case.
