PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - A 24-year-old Plainfield Township man is in the Kent County Jail after sheriff's deputies say he broke into a home early Saturday morning and stabbed an 11-year-old girl.
Deputies say the homeowner held the attacker at gunpoint until officers arrived.
The girl is hospitalized in stable condition.
Investigators think it was a random attack.
