GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - David Abbott, a long-time pillar in the arts community and the former executive director for Festival of the Arts, has died.
The announcement was made by officials with the event.
Abbott was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, which was his seventh cancer diagnosis.
Abbott resigned from Festival three years ago to focus on his health.
