The Consumers Energy Foundation is announcing the Muskegon County Parks Department will receive $250,000 as part of their annual Planet Awards.
The award will be used to fund restoration at Dune Harbor Park.
The parks department plans to continue to develop the trail system and signage, restore the traditional ecosystem and plant native foliage.
Six Rivers Regional Land Conservancy also won an award.
