A man will spend life in prison after he was found guilty of first-degree murder.
In February, a jury found Luis Bernal-Sosa guilty of murdering his ex-girlfriend Leah Gomez while her 21-month old daughter was in the backseat of the car in May 2023.
Bernal-Sosa will not have the possibility of parole.
He was in the U.S. illegally, although it is not clear when he arrived.
