One of the U.S. Marines that was killed in a helicopter crash near San Diego this week was from West Michigan.
The U.S. military says 28-year-old Capt. Miguel Nava died in the crash.
The military has Nava listed from Traverse City however, he grew up in Comstock Park.
Officials say the flight the crew was on was part of flight training.
