Leaders in Ottawa County and Samaritas broke ground on an affordable housing project.
The 53-unit project will be located in Spring Lake off Savidge Street.
The project is estimated to cost $16.4 million and is scheduled to be completed by February 2025.
Samaritas executive director of affordable living development says affordable housing should be in places that have options for grocery stores, schools, libraries and other things people are looking for.
