Hospital seeing more respiratory viruses, increased wait times

Hospitals in West Michigan are seeing an increase in respiratory viruses including RSV and COVID.

The increase cases are leading to longer wait times at walk-in clinics, urgent care and emergency rooms.

Hospital staff says if you are feeling sick but do not have a persistent fever or shortness of breath, a telehealth appointment may be a good option.

While sickness levels are currently increase, the levels are not the same as during the COVID-19 pandemic.
