Carbon monoxide likely cause of Alpine Township family's death

ALPINE TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - The Kent County Sheriff's Office says three family members were likely killed by high levels of carbon monoxide in their Alpine Township.

They have been identified as 88-year-old Robert Modzeleski, his 81-year-old wife, Barbara, and their 61-year-old son, Timothy.

They were found dead Friday by Alpine Township firefighters, who had to leave the home to put on airpacks to stay safe.

The investigation is ongoing.
