Kent County has most deer-involved crashes in the state

Michigan State Police says Kent County had the most deer-involved crashes in the state last year.

In 2022, Michigan had almost 59,000 deer-involved crashes with 11 of the crashes involving fatalities.

Kent County had 2,250 of those crashes.

According to the data, November was the most common month for a crash involving deer.

Most of the crashes happened between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. or between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m.
