A Grand Rapids jury has found a man guilty of shooting and killing a man and injuring others last year.
A jury found Genesis Lewis guilty of second-degree murder, felony firearm and three counts of assault with intent to murder.
The incident happened on Pearl Street near Monroe and Ottawa avenues on June 5, 2022.
Lewis told investigators he ran into a group of people he had trouble with previously and when his dad began fighting the group, he went to his car to grab a gun.
Surveillance footage showed Lewis then fired into the group.
Lewis is scheduled to be sentenced on January 18,2024.
