Grand Rapids Public Library looking for poet laureate

The Grand Rapids Public Library is looking for their next poet laureate.

The library searches every three years for someone in Kent County who loves the art of poetry and looks to inspire others through the medium.

GRPL business and career librarian Steve Assarian says they are looking for people who are publishing poetry and also want to be engaged with the community.

The new poet laureate will be announced in December.
