The Rapid is ending service for route 29 to Cascade Township on August 28.
Township Supervisor Grace Lesperance says they negotiated with the transportation company however neither business could find a solution to streamline the route or cut costs.
Lesperance says they didn't feel like the route was serving commuters or residents.
The Rapid will extend Route 5 further down 28th Street to cover the Kentwood portion of Route 29.
