Two West MI waterways to be treated for lamprey

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services says two waterways in West Michigan will be treated for sea lamprey next week.

Crews will apply lampricides to Crockery Creek and Rogue River from June 6 to June 14.

Sea lamprey larvae will feed on fish if not treated.

Bodies of water with known lamprey populations must be treated every three to five years.
